Allianz Ayudhya Assurance PCL, a leading life and health insurer, provoking the Thai community to aware of seasonal illness and the importance of preventive care by introducing #PreventionFirst campaign. The concept is based on “hacking” billboard, outdoor media across Bangkok and social media to convey the message that urging people to start taking care of their health now before the body get hacked at any time.

Patchara Taveechaiwattana, Country Chief Customer Officer, Allianz Ayudhya Assurance, shares that “Based on the statistics from the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health in 2023 there is a significant surge in the number of seasonal infectious diseases. Specifically, in the third quarter of 2023 (July – September), which is the rainy season, there were 58,576 cases of Dengue fever, 80,592 cases of pneumonia, and 206,802 cases of influenza. These numbers reflect easier transmission and increasingly virulent new strains of diseases, leading to considerable time and financial burdens on patients.

To raise awareness about this issue, Allianz Ayudhya has launched the #PreventionFirst campaign, encouraging the public to be vigilant about the lurking dangers of infectious diseases around them and to take care of their health seriously starting from today. Simple action could be maintaining a strong physical condition, consuming nutritious food, exercising regularly, and getting enough rest. These are things everyone can do on their own. At the same time, having a health insurance plan is also an option to provide protection and alleviate the financial burden when illnesses do occur.

The #PreventionFirst campaign introduces a fresh perspective by employing the concept of computer viruses to add flair to its messaging. Just as computers can be hacked or infected with viruses at any time without adequate security software, the "rebooting or recovering" of technology to normal functionality can take time—or may never happen at all. The same principle applies to human health, which is increasingly susceptible to various strains of diseases. Many neglect their well-being, leading to illness, expensive treatments, and lost valuable time. This campaign strategically targets billboard, outdoor media across Bangkok and social media, featuring screens that mimic hacked computers, warning the public to take health precautions before it’s too late. The aim is to disrupt the procrastination mindset when it comes to health maintenance, advocating for physical well-being and the option of health insurance to ease financial burdens when sickness strikes.

"This is marked as one of the biggest campaigns of this year to create buzz and drive awareness of health prevention, both in terms of physical fitness and planning for uncertainties associated with various diseases by opting for health insurance. The campaign is not only limited to outdoor advertising but also cover roadshows designed to engage the public proactively and share knowledge on health prevention. We strongly believe that this campaign will not only benefit the Thai public in terms of health protection but will also elevate Allianz Ayudhya's image as a leader in life and health insurance solutions," concluded, Ms. Patchara.
