Environmental Approach
As part of its environmental sustainability approach, Allianz Ayudhya places strong emphasis on reducing resource consumption resulting from business operations. This includes minimizing electricity usage, water consumption, paper use, business travel, and waste generation. In addition to raising awareness among employees, the company also leverages technology to help reduce resource usage. Furthermore, Allianz Ayudhya offsets its electricity consumption by supporting renewable energy production through the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), aligning with the RE100 initiative.
Allianz Ayudhya also prioritizes waste management, recognizing that “waste” is one of the major environmental issues in Thailand that impacts various dimensions including water, soil, and air pollution. It goes without saying that everyone contributes to the current waste problem. Therefore, waste is an issue that affects us all, and solving it requires a collective effort.
Allianz Ayudhya is committed to instilling a sense of responsibility for waste disposal among its employees, based on the belief that environmental problems especially waste are not just matters of volunteerism, but of personal and shared responsibility. In addition, the company aims to expand this impact by promoting behavioral change at the community level as well.

Waste Sorting Station
The Waste Sorting Station reflects Allianz Ayudhya’s commitment to changing employees’ waste disposal behavior and fostering a new organizational culture of waste separation. The goal is to encourage waste sorting to become a habit and a normal part of daily behavior among Allianz Ayudhya employees. Ultimately, this initiative aims to significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.
was established to manage daily waste generated by employees and is a part of Allianz Ayudhya’s waste management strategy. Waste is categorized into four main types according to the company’s waste management guidelines:
- Food Waste – Processed through food waste composting machines to be converted into plant nutrients, which are then distributed to employees and nearby communities.
- Bottles and Cans – Collected and sent to local recycling collectors in the community.
- Clean Plastic Waste – Separated into stretchable plastic and hard plastic, then sent to recycling companies for proper processing.
- Non-recyclable Waste that has already been separated from food waste – Processed into refuse-derived fuel (RDF) as an alternative to coal-based energy.
For business-related waste, which mainly consists of documents and data materials, these are handled separately through proper destruction and waste management processes. Outdated or unused equipment is sorted and either donated to organizations in need or forwarded into appropriate waste processing systems.
At Allianz Ayudhya, there are no bins for “general waste” because we believe every piece of waste should not end up in landfills unnecessarily.

Eagle Waste Bank
This initiative encourages employees to separate recyclable waste at home and bring it to the “Mobile Recycle Day” at Allianz Ayudhya’s Head Office. Participants can exchange the recyclable materials for reward points and receive a variety of household items in return.

Ma-Ha-Mitr Project (Alliance for Sustainability)
Allianz Ayudhya believes that sustainability cannot be achieved alone. This belief led to the idea of expanding collaboration and finding partners to take action together, creating and building on positive initiatives to promote shared sustainability. This effort is carried out under the group name “Ma-Ha-Mitr” (Alliance for Sustainability).

Pathumwan Zero Waste Project
This project, initiated by the Ma Ha Mitr group in 2023, is led by Chulalongkorn University’s Chula Zero Waste project in collaboration with Allianz Ayudhya, MBK Public Company Limited, Sivatel Bangkok Hotel, and Chulalongkorn University’s Property Management Office. The aim is to promote the Pathumwan district as a zero waste to landfill area. The Ma Ha Mitr group will lead campaigns to encourage waste separation within the organization and the areas under its care, while also supporting and encouraging local agencies and communities to recognize the importance of waste segregation and join the initiative. The Ma Ha Mirt group is also ready to serve as a model for organizations interested in learning more about this approach.

Exhibition: The End is Coming ... from the Viewpoint of Landfill
This exhibition was organized to raise awareness about the waste problem through art and performances. The exhibition aims to reflect on the "selfishness of humans" who often focus only on their own interests and desires without considering the consequences, which lead to a major issue the overwhelming waste problem in cities that is difficult to solve.

Exhibition: THINK – Trash and Life, an Art Exhibition Aimed to Stop Mixed Trash
This is another initiative from the Ma Ha Mitr group, aiming to create change and promote environmentally friendly behavior on a larger scale in society.
Allianz Ayudhya, in collaboration with Ma Ha Mitr and waste management partners, organized the THINK – Trash and Life event. The concept behind this event is to use art and activities to inspire awareness, foster a sense of responsibility, and drive behavioral change toward environmentally friendly practices among urban populations.
The intention behind this event is to tell everyone, “Stop being careless,” and “Let’s start separating waste.” The waste problem will never be solved if the majority of society doesn't help. At the event, in addition to raising awareness about the issues and the drawbacks of “dumping and mixing,” there was also education on waste management and presentations on ways to create value from sorted waste, as well as new options to reduce waste generation, particularly clothing waste. The event featured four main activities:
- Mind Change Room - A small cinema that tells the story of waste collection workers, a profession many people overlook.
- Throw... Life Activity - An activity where participants take on the role of waste collection workers, experiencing the challenges and dangers of handling mixed waste, and concluding with participants practicing waste separation following the Doi Tung model, as well as learning various methods for managing food waste.
- Urban Alternatives - Meet Recyclable Startups that help turn your waste into something valuable.
- Fashion Exchange Market - An alternative for fashion lovers to reduce clothing waste, offering an option to avoid overstuffed wardrobes while also reducing one of the most difficult-to-manage types of waste clothing waste.

Community Waste Bank, Soi Phrajan Community
This project is the result of a collaboration between the Ma Ha Mitr group, with the intention to promote waste management in the community to reduce landfill waste. The initiative encourages generating income within the community through the sale of recyclable waste.
